I’ve been in the beauty industry for about ten years, but I only transitioned into permanent makeup three years ago.

To get here, the major step I took was becoming highly knowledgeable in my craft. I never put myself in a position where I had to second-guess my expertise. I come from a place where skill is important, but many people don’t know how to build a proper business.

I invested in structure, and I’m also grateful that I learned branding, it helped my business immensely.

I’ve built trust by demonstrating confidence in my craft and artistry. One of the biggest challenges I faced was understanding the structural part of running a business, knowing how to address feedback, and building a team. I went out of my way to do things differently than others in the industry.
